Spire Sworn
Quick and Simple Guide

Pearly nodules that grow from osteoderms within the skin of the forehead.

Materials:

  • Pearl Cabochons

  • Spirit Gum OR Pros Aide ***

  • Alternative: Headband with Pearl Cabochons attached. Can be cloth, wire or any other style of headband.

*** Spirit Gum is check and easy to use, but often causes allergic reactions. It also doesn’t bond as well as Pros Aide.

Pros Aide is much more adhesive and sweat resistant than Spirit Gum, and very rarely causes skin reactions. However, it might require a special remover. We suggest Super Solv Plus (be sure to get the Plus version).

Steps

  • Plan out your look. Plot out your placement, and whether or not you would like to use multiple pearls. They do not need to be symmetrical.

    • Do a wrinkle test by scrunching your forehead. Avoid putting your pearls where there are wrinkles, as they are much more likely to fall off during the day.

    • If you’re using Pros Aide, it’s more likely to stick even if it’s near a wrinkle, but don’t place it directly on top of a wrinkle.

    • Use pearls of different sizes.

    • Do not place a single pearl between the eyebrows to avoid looking like a Bindi.

  • Wash face and moisturize.

  • Apply the Spirit Gum or Pros Aide to the skin where you plan on placing your pearls. Dab it on in a couple of thin layers, allowing it to COMPLETELY dry between layers. If using Pros Aide, no white should be showing. The surface should be slightly tacky.

  • Apply some Spirit Gum or Pros Aide to the back of the pearl cabochons. Allow it to completely dry.

  • Firmly press the pearl onto the skin and hold it for a few seconds.
