Description

Lightning Suits have a web of super-conductive threads set on top of a thick layer of electrical insulation, drawing the electricity to the ground and dispersing it into the earth. The large Lightning Rod attached to the suit with a backpack is constantly ionized, drawing all arcing electricity towards it.

Mechanics

While wearing the Lightning Suit, you are completely immune to Shock or any other Effect created from bolts of electricity.

The Lightning Suit provides 1 AP. If that AP is ever lost, the suit is considered compromised and the immunity to Shock is lost.

Any and all large, undirected bolts of electricity, such as Lightning or electricity arcing off a reactor will ALWAYS target the lightning rod attached to the Lightning Suit if it is in range.

The Lightning Suit takes both the Armor and a Backpack Slots.

Prop 

This Equipment comes in two parts: A full body suit, including gloves and a headband, with a grid pattern over the surface; and a backpack with a combat-safe lightning rod.

The rod may not have any exposed hard segments.

Safety

Be cautious moving through doorways, bending over, and going prone with the lightning rod.

Errata

Undirected Electricity will not leave its range to target the Lightning Suit.

  • What are the two aspects of the Lightning Suit’s functionality?

  • Can those two aspects be used independently?

  • May undirected electricity target the Lightning Suit if the suit is outside the electricity’s range?

  • Demonstrate safely moving around using the Lightning Suit.
