Description

The Laboratory is the station where analysis and experimentation is done. If you want to learn more about a plant, animal material, or phenomenon, your best bet is the Laboratory.

Mechanics

Unlike other Stations, the Laboratory does not have a specific mechanical role. Anything scientific that needs to be done in order to learn more about something (and doesn't fall under the purview of another Station) will be done at the Laboratory.

Many times Laboratory tasks will be set up by a Staff member, such as specimen dissection, chemistry challenges, etc. These activities will not always be available, because the materials needed to do them must be specially prepared ahead of time.

If a player has an idea for an experiment, you may pitch it to the staff to be done at the Laboratory. If you include a fun activity that can be done (especially with a group) to represent your experiment, you're more likely to get an approval. This is not a guarantee that it will be approved.

The Laboratory is unpredictable. Wear gloves and eye protection.
